Professor: “Sudden Cardiac Death doesn’t have to be fatal. It also doesn’t have to be cardiac.”
Okay. So it just has to entail… something… happening suddenly. (And this ‘something’ – to be more specific about it – either will or will not kill you.)
I can see how this definition will really benefit me in life.
“Ooh, be right back, guys – sudden cardiac death.”
“… wait what?
“In this context, it means that I need to pee.”
And THAT is why medicine is so confusing. If it says “death”, I’m pretty sure that means “you’re gonna die”…right?
I agree!
Apparently Sudden Cardiac Death has a survival rate of 4.4%.
